About Janine White
Janine White is a Canadian composer & sound designer who currently resides in Cambridge, Ontario.
She is a classically trained pianist (B.Mus Theory WLU), was a member of the College of Examiners at the Royal Conservatory of Music for several years, and has adjudicated music festivals (piano, composition) in the GTA.
She has produced audio & sound design for numerous award-winning multimedia projects, including the NFB’s Emmy-winning interactives & documentary short films Highrise: Out My Window, and A Short History of the Highrise (which also won the FITC award for Audio in Flash), and 360 degree documentaries The Polar Sea and Edge of Space and Songs of Freedom (Deep Inc).
She is the main composer & vocalist for the music/art collaborative Johnny Hollow, whose music has been featured on the television series’ Being Erica and Lost Girl.
As a performer, she has toured with Johnny Hollow, Dr. Draw, & the Spoons.
Her latest project is the podcast Strange Muses, for which she is the co-host, writer, and audio producer.
She works from a well-equipped Pro Tools DAW studio, and is fluent in all aspects of audio production, including recording, editing, voiceover, sound design, foley, mixing & mastering.
